Previous Experience
Food deserts and the social gradient associated with access to healthy eating options. The analysis of cancer and child and maternal health population datasets and the undertaking of evidence-based evaluations of the safety and effectiveness of health care technologies and service interventions.
Research Interests
Health geography, inequalities in health, epidemiological methods, evidence-based health care evaluation, GIS applications in health research.
Current research projects:
Food deserts and the social gradient associated with access to healthy eating options. The role of neighbourhood context in explaining patterns of problem gambling. Geo-demographic comparisons of global inequalities in mortality. Measures of Neighbourhood access to obescogenic environments. Alcohol outlet density and alcohol related harm.
